+While Tissot is a storied Swiss watchmaker, having been founded in 1880, right now they are best known for their line of sexy, 70s-inspired sports watches called PRX. A throwback to an era of bell bottoms, big cars, record players, etc… the PRXs feature an “integrated bracelet” design, meaning the case and bracelet or strap seamlessly flow into each other. A sleek-looking concept, it became the rage in the 70s, exuding a certain luxurious bravado, and had a recent resurgence. The PRX executes the concept with style to spare, all at an affordable price point.
The PRX Quartz 25mm downsizes the mid-century classic for a lighter touch. Coming at 25mm, the stainless steel barrel case with its signature mix of brushed and polished surfaces still features its larger siblings’ 100m of water resistance. Its multiple dial configurations feature lumed baton hands, a decidedly sporty touch for such a refined piece. Blending sport and elegance, the Tissot PRX is a versatile companion for any occasion.
Inside the Tissot PRX 25mm is the Swiss-made ETA F03.115 caliber. A 3-jewel movement, it features hour, minute, seconds, date, and EOL (end-of-life indication). An accurate movement, it should last multiple years on a single battery.
